Accounting professionals with a passion for leadership and a drive to make a difference can thrive in this role. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of experts dedicated to promoting high standards of professionalism and ethics.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills and experience to help shape and advance the accounting profession. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by accountants and be able to provide expert guidance and support.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and maintain credibility with internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing effective policies and procedures to promote professional standards
  • Analyzing findings and sharing insights with members and stakeholders through various mediums
  • Staying up-to-date with regulatory developments and identifying relevant issues for the industry
  • Providing strategic advice and recommending changes to monitoring activities and risk management strategies
  • Engaging with stakeholders, including the Big 4, membership groups, insurers, regulators, and consultants

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in public practice, including at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Excellent business communication skills and relationship management abilities
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with a big-picture perspective
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
  • Capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects
