End-of-life care for Aboriginal people requires a compassionate and culturally sensitive approach. As an Aboriginal Palliative Care Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring respectful care for our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clinicians, community-based service providers, and patient families at the primary healthcare level to deliver holistic care.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare services, providing advocacy and support in hospital and community settings.
  • Develop and implement culturally safe environments for Aboriginal patients and their families within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
  • Be of Aboriginal descent through parentage or identification as being Aboriginal and accepted by the community.
  • Hold a current NSW Drivers Licence.
  • Have understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal people in relation to grief and loss and Aboriginal social and emotional wellbeing.
