As the largest airport in Western Sydney, we are seeking a skilled professional to oversee safe and efficient baggage operations.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring smooth airport operations by actively monitoring planning, allocation, and resource utilization. Collaborating with airlines, Ground Handling Agents, and the Baggage Service Provider (BSP) is essential to meet operational demands.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate daily flight schedules with airlines and BSP
  • Monitor assembly and allocation of baggage batches to optimize efficiency
  • Predict high inbound volumes of baggage and adjust resources accordingly
  • Ensure adequate staffing and resource allocation for standard and oversize baggage
  • Monitor manual encode resource requirements and demand
  • Establish effective communication with airlines and Ground Handling Agents regarding flight preparations and resource allocation

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years experience in airport baggage systems or related fields
  • Highly effective planning skills and focused work methods
  • Strong attention to detail, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Problem-solving skills, data analysis, and system interrogation abilities
  • A current NSW Drivers Licence and Authority to Drive Airside (ADA)
  • An Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
