Job Title: Portfolio Strategist

Role Overview

We're seeking a seasoned Portfolio Strategist to lead our asset management team in Melbourne. As a key member, you'll be responsible for formulating and executing strategies that meet the objectives of each fund.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop Strategic Asset Plans for each asset in conjunction with Real Estate Services teams
  • Provide strategic direction to Real Estate Services teams in preparing Annual 3-year Budget Plans for each asset
  • Provision of full 10-year annual budget plan and quarterly reforecasts to Funds Teams, ensuring accuracy of published MRI models
  • Formulate leasing strategies for the assets and support property management with direct leasing as needed
  • Maintain relationships with major tenants or Tenant Reps as needed
  • Ensure required data is provided to Valuers as instructed by Funds Team; review numbers, reports, and recommendations about leasing assumptions (market rent, incentive forecast) for Funds Team
  • Lead/manage team to support asset transactions, i.e., disposals/acquisitions and integration of new assets to portfolio by providing accurate and timely data/reports as required and facilitating process and asset inspections
  • Act as a market leader for portfolio locations and provide strategic market advice and updates
  • Have current knowledge of market conditions/research to support business decisions
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Property or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the Property industry
  • Proven experience in strategic asset management
  • Strong understanding of Property market sectors, valuation techniques, and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a constructive and collaborative team
  • Previous experience managing multiple stakeholders effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively
  • Strong influencing capability
  • Demonstrated management capability
  • Strong planning/organisation skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Word and Excel skills
