Job Title: IT Asset Manager

Reports to: Service Management Manager

Department: Technology Services Division

Position Overview:

The primary function of the IT Asset Manager is to oversee and manage the entire lifecycle process of software and hardware assets, ensuring accurate and timely updates in asset registers.

This role requires developing strong stakeholder relationships with vendors to ensure best practices and SLAs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Asset Lifecycle Management:

- Acquire, deploy, track, secure, and dispose of all IT software and hardware assets effectively.

2. Vendor Relationship Development:

- Manage key vendor relationships, owning and developing these partnerships to achieve business goals.

3. Asset Register Maintenance:

- Ensure all asset changes are accurately recorded and updated in asset registers.

4. Telecommunication Services:

- Oversee telecommunication services procurement, deployment, and cancellation as required.

5. Governance:

- Develop and maintain IT Asset Management policies and procedures.

6. Continuous Improvement:

- Identify opportunities to improve service delivery for staff in a more effective and efficient manner.
