Senior Accountant Position

We are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our business insolvency and advisory team. This is an exciting opportunity for career development in a specialist firm experiencing organic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of formal insolvency appointments, including trade-ons, liquidations, receiverships, administrations, receipts/payments, and asset management.
  • Assist with clear and professional communication with clients, creditors, lawyers, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the team on informal advisory engagements, such as independent business reviews and turnaround assignments.
  • Compile financial information, conduct analysis, draw conclusions, and assist with report preparation.
  • Investigate antecedent transactions and insolvent trading, ensuring compliance and timely reporting of any contraventions.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, representing our firm's capabilities.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally with exposure to insolvency, restructuring, or forensic accounting.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or similar).
  • CA or CPA qualified, or actively working towards completion (support provided).
  • A foundational understanding of accounting principles and a strong interest in insolvency legislation and practice.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities for effective interaction with team members and external parties.
  • A high level of accuracy and meticulousness, essential for sensitive financial work.
  • A proactive, adaptable, eager to learn, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a changing environment.
