Operations Administrator for Sustainable Packaging

We believe that materials are only truly recycled when they are transformed into new, sustainable products. Our mission is to collect and sort recyclable materials from households and businesses, and then remanufacture them into new packaging products.
The RoleAs an Operations Administrator for Sustainable Packaging, based in Sydney, you will play a vital role in supporting our internal technical quality administrative processes. This position requires a unique blend of administrative skills, technical proficiency, and attention to detail. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to contribute to the overall success of our team.
Duties and Responsibilities- Administer and maintain our customer request system, including preparing responses to customer inquiries about sustainability, corporate social responsibility, quality, food safety, and product specifications.
- Provide administrative support for divisional internal and external audit requirements, including maintaining audit schedules and records, and following up on action plans. Participate in internal and external quality audits.
- Offer ad-hoc administrative support for business projects, including developing reports, maintaining records, and performing data analysis as directed.
- Routine technical reporting, including running reports, analyzing data, completing, and distributing reports according to schedule. Contribute to developing new data sets and reports as required.
- Support quality control/assurance processes by assisting in the creation and maintenance of quality documentation and ensuring documents are managed in compliance with Visy's internal standards and procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement within the department and implement changes.
- Foster effective communication with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of information and provide administrative support.
- At least 2 years' experience in an equivalent administrative role.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and workloads.
- M365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) - advanced skills with Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of workflows to enable effective maintenance of business systems.
- Experience collating datasets and preparing reports.
- Effective communication skills to confidently liaise internally, with SMEs across the wider business, and with external stakeholders as required.
- Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet requirements/deadlines.
- $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
