About This Opportunity

Pact Group is a leader in sustainable packaging solutions, and we are seeking a skilled Packaging Operations Specialist to join our team.

As a Packaging Operations Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities, including the setup and changeover of filling lines, troubleshooting, and optimizing equipment performance.

You will work closely with our Mechatronics Technicians to optimize the High-Speed Filling Line (HSL) operation through continuous improvement and preventative maintenance actions.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, contributing to a workplace culture that prioritizes WHS.
  • Set up, changeover, and monitor standard and high-speed filling lines to meet safety, quality, and production requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust equipment during production to achieve optimal output and minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret job orders and specification sheets to ensure production outcomes meet operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with Mechatronics Technicians to optimize HSL operation through continuous improvement and ongoing preventative maintenance actions.
  • Monitor and document HSL production performance and output quality for accreditation and traceability.
  • Manually load packaging materials into hoppers as needed.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Proven ability to utilize computers to operate mechanical equipment, including settings, adjustments, and changeovers.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a technical-oriented materials handling or fast-paced production environment, including continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Previous experience in setting and operating high-volume processing equipment is highly regarded.
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar systems is an advantage.
  • Results-driven and able to take initiative, with the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact and liaise with people at all levels.
  • Licensed Forklift operator.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts, potentially 24/7.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications.

We estimate the salary for this position to be between $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
