The Director of Enforcement is a key leadership role that drives the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures to regulate and enforce Australia's Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Enforcement team to deliver agreed outcomes through building and maintaining a high-performing team with the necessary capabilities and skill sets.
  • Provide high-level leadership, guidance, and advice to senior management on enforcement matters, including complex investigations and litigation.
  • Exercise professional judgment in Enforcement matters, taking into account national security and law enforcement partner needs.
  • Represent AUSTRAC in external forums and liaise with internal stakeholders to build networks.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, investigations, or enforcement and civil litigation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, justice, or similar fields, as well as familiarity with government investigations.
  • Australian citizenship at the time of application.
