Job Opportunity: HR Administrator

The role of a Human Resources (HR) Administrator is crucial in ensuring that all human resource functions are aligned with the project objectives and Australian labor laws. This position involves overseeing and supporting various HR activities, including employee relations, training programs, and conflict resolution.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR-related matters and ensure a positive work environment by promoting employee engagement and addressing workplace issues quickly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian labor laws, Voith Hydro's internal policies, and industrial legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements for employees.
  • Lead industrial risk mitigation and coordinate emergency responses to workplace incidents with the Health Safety Environment (HSE) and Industrial Relations (IR) teams.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate HR records, preparing reports on staffing, attendance, and other HR metrics, and coordinating site-specific inductions to ensure employees are aware of safety policies and procedures.

">Requirements and Skills:

Applicants should possess tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations, or a related field. Certifications in Workplace Health and Safety are also preferred. A minimum of 2-3 years' experience in HR roles, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sectors, is required.

Required skills include strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, expertise in HR trends, and industry standards, as well as the ability to plan and implement HR initiatives to support project success.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all levels are essential, along with proficiency in managing administrative HR tasks, such as timesheets, attendance, and record-keeping.
