Accounts Officer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, processing invoices and payments, allocating customer payments, and reconciling claims.

The role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a similar or AP/AR all-rounder position. You will work closely with the credit controller to ensure accurate financial information and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process supplier invoices, matching them to system POs
  • Generate payment runs via EFT and cheque
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Allocate customer payments to correct accounts/invoices
  • Process customer claim and reconciliation

Requirements and Ideal Profile:

  • Previous experience in AP/AR function is highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of Excel functions, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot table
  • Understanding of balance sheet reconciliations is desired
