HSE Safety Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Advisor to join our onshore Energy division. The successful candidate will provide expert HSE advice and ensure compliance with client and company health, safety, and environment standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HSE advice and expertise to our major Energy maintenance contract.
- Improve HSE performance, culture, and management.
- Conduct and support HSE audits, inspections, investigations, and training/awareness.
- Monitor work practices to ensure adherence to safety and environmental procedures and standards.
- Ensure all HSE processes and activities, JHA's, permits, etc. comply with relevant HSE legislation and company standards.
- Provide hands-on support to implement HSE improvements, plans, or solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of contemporary HSE practices to recommend and implement effective HSE solutions.
- Conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis and investigations on HSE performance data to identify performance trends and areas of concern/risk at a Project and/or Site level. Propose and follow-up on recommendations for action.
Requirements
- Certificate IV qualification in OHS and/or Environmental or related area is essential, Diploma preferred.
- Applied First Aid Certificate is essential.
- Experience in a similar HSE role.
- Well-established knowledge of site HSE policies and procedures, and extensive knowledge of HSE legislation and standards and their relevance to Monadelphous.
- The ability to accurately assemble and maintain document and quality records, and produce reports using MS Office Suite.
- Well-developed communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to foster interpersonal relationships across all levels.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
