Job Description:

  • Lead the development and execution of a national learning strategy for sovereign submarine sustainment workforce. Drive the "Train in Australia Plan" and collaborate across government and industry to deliver technical training and capability development initiatives.
  • Design and deliver onboarding, technical, and compliance training programs for the SSN Sustainment workforce.
  • Act as lead for all technical learning activities related to SSN Sustainment.
  • Develop the WA Learning Facility in collaboration with infrastructure and program teams.
  • Deliver internal and external briefings and workshops to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Provide leadership to the SSN Sustainment L&D team.
  • Manage actions to support capability building and SQEP outcomes.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:">
  • Tertiary qualifications in Learning, HR, Business or extensive L&D leadership experience.
  • Project management certification or experience highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in complex environments, ideally with technical training delivery.
  • Proven ability to align strategy with organisational goals and execute effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities.
  • Self-directed, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited supervision.
