Community Development Specialist

CELOTTI WORKFORCE is seeking a proactive and community-focused professional to join our team as a Community Development Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering various community programs, initiatives, and events, with a focus on building positive relationships between stakeholders and creating stronger, more connected communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the community development team in planning and delivering community programs, initiatives, and events.
- Design and implement activities that encourage young people to engage with and contribute positively to their community.
- Act as a bridge between young people, the youth sector, and the community to facilitate effective communication and relationship building.
- Support initiatives in other community development areas, including Children and Families and Community Safety.
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Community Development or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in working with community groups and delivering community-based programs or events.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective engagement with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience in building successful partnerships with local, state, and federal governments, NGOs, and the community.
- Strong organisational skills with experience in coordinating projects and preparing corporate documentation.
- High level of proficiency in using information technology systems.
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours for community events.
- A current NT driver's licence is essential.
