Precision Instrument Calibration Specialist

Join a leading team of calibration and service experts.
We are seeking a skilled Calibration and Service Technician to work with our customers and product specialists. As part of this role, you will inspect, calibrate and maintain precision maintenance instruments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop strong relationships with instrument manufacturers and our product experts.
- Provide excellent customer service related to repair and calibration work.
- Clean and inspect precision maintenance instruments for damage or faults.
- Complete instrument calibrations according to manufacturer guidelines and issue calibration certificates.
- Identify the root cause of system faults and correct these with repairs according to manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with our OEM partners on complex troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of calibration and repair works (photographs, inspection and repair reports and calibration records).
- Contribute to the development of strategies for our calibration service centre.
- Drive growth in revenue for our repair and calibration business through disciplined follow-up and service excellence.
Requirements:
- Must be self-driven and capable of operating autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with overseas OEMs.
- A disciplined and systematic approach to work management.
- Experience with fine mechanical and electronic repairs.
- Excellent fine soldering skills and experience (IPC certificate 7711/7721 rework, modification and repair of electronic assemblies' qualification or similar would be highly regarded).
- Proficiency in using IT systems for work management.
- Intermediate Microsoft office experience (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word).
- Proven ability to take initiative, coupled with robust problem-solving skills.
- Instrumentation technician train qualification would be highly beneficial.
- Residency in NSW with a readiness for occasional overseas travel for training.
You will have the opportunity to travel overseas to receive advanced training from industry-leading OEMs.
