About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Field Service Line Borer to join our team. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, you will work from our brand new line boring vehicles to provide support to our customers with problem-solving, on-site repairs and precision machining.

The ideal candidate will utilise their experience to craft precision parts using onsite machining techniques including:

  • Operating line boring equipment and ID welders.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
  • Maintaining a strong focus on safety.
  • Collaborating with workshop manager and other tradespeople to enhance quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities

Main duties of the Field Service Line Borer include:

  • Operate line boring equipment and ID welders in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assess and repair machinery on site ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with workshop manager and other tradespeople to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and any issues encountered during service calls.
Required Skills And Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • Australian recognised mechanical or fabrication trade qualification.
  • MR Drivers License (desirable) or ability to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment (highly regarded).
  • Ability to maintain high standards of work with minimal supervision.
  • Consistent delivery of high-quality work within set time frames.
