Job Description:

We are seeking a part-time Client Care Specialist to work in our Adult Residential Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing consumer-driven services, modeling personal responsibility and hopefulness, and referring consumers to community resources.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide consumer-driven services
  2. Model traits such as personal responsibility, self-advocacy, and hopefulness
  3. Refer and link consumers to community resources
  4. Attend meetings and consumer staffings and help to develop programs
  5. Ensure a safe and sanitary living environment with co-workers, supervisor, facility staff members and consumers
  6. Answer calls and messages, receive and distribute mail, and observe video surveillance equipment where applicable
  7. Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADC) certification or Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor (CRADC) certification in good standing with the State of Illinois
  • Five years' mental health, substance use or other social service experience and obtain CADC within two years of hire
  • Crisis intervention or co-occurring experience/training
  • Valid driver's license, private automobile insurance and be insurable
  • Basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, email, and using an electronic medical record (EMR)
Benefits:

The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $21.00 - $22.00 an hour. We offer competitive compensation and benefits package.
