Mobile Patient Care (MPC) focuses on providing Non-Emergency Patient Transport across various regions, utilizing a comprehensive fleet of ambulances and aircraft to support our services.

Role Overview

We are currently looking for dedicated Patient Transport Officers to fill full-time ongoing roles. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care during transport, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients with diverse medical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct patient assessments and provide necessary interventions during transport.
  2. Deliver high-quality care and treatment throughout the transport process.
  3. Foster positive relationships with patients and relevant stakeholders.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions in line with RFDS MPC guidelines and NEPT regulations.
  5. Operate independently while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  6. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  7. Maintain knowledge of RFDS MPC policies and NEPT regulations to uphold best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  1. Certification as a Patient Transport Officer (PTO) with a minimum of Cert III in Non-emergency Patient Care.
  2. Previous experience in the NEPT sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  3. Possession of a FULL NSW Driver's license with a clean driving history.
  4. Availability for day shifts, Monday to Friday.

Vaccination Requirements

As part of the application process, candidates must provide proof of the following vaccinations:

  1. Hepatitis B
  2. Chicken Pox
  3. Measles, Mumps, and Rubella
  4. Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis
  5. Annual Influenza
  6. COVID-19 (2 vaccinations + booster)

All positions require a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check.
