Job Title: Power Lines Construction

Summary:

As a specialist in environmental and cultural heritage management, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of major construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land access and clearing, with experience in monitoring compliance with environmental and cultural heritage requirements. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, and performing assurance activities on contractors undertaking transmission easement clearing and access works.

  • Manage Powerlink's transmission line corridors and land assets in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement sustainable land and access clearing methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with Class 1 & 2 Declared Pest Plants regulations.
  • Relate to and communicate with traditional and current landowners.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification in environmental or related discipline (Arboriculture or Horticulture or Conservation and Land Management).
  • Significant experience in land and/or vegetation management, supported by applied knowledge in sustainable land and access clearing methodologies, Class 1 & 2 Declared Pest Plants, native tree species of South East Queensland, construction-related contract administration, cultural heritage management practices, and relating to and communicating with traditional and current landowners.
