Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced academic to contribute to the teaching, research, and service activities of the School.

The successful applicant will be expected to deliver innovative and high-quality undergraduate teaching in Archaeology, contribute to curriculum development, supervise students at all levels, and foster graduate employability through placements and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver innovative and high-quality undergraduate teaching in Archaeology
  • Contribute to curriculum development and unit planning
  • Supervise students at all levels and foster their research skills
  • Develop and implement assessment and evaluation methods
  • Conduct and publish independent, high-impact research relevant to Australia
  • Contribute to world-class research initiatives and seek external funding

Requirements:

  • PhD in an academic field relevant to Archaeology
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering innovative teaching approaches and assessment materials
  • Evidence of a commitment to designing and promoting innovative use of technology in delivering teaching and assessment
  • Emerging research profile with potential for nationally recognised impact
  • Commitment to embedding UWA's core values of openness, honesty, tolerance, fairness, and responsibility in all aspects of work
