Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a suitably qualified Senior Civil Engineer to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quotes and proposals, demonstrating an understanding of project needs.

  • Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director on diverse projects throughout all phases of the consulting cycle.

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or related field.
  • Be CPEng and/or RPEQ accredited or actively pursuing accreditation.
  • Minimum 6 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • Proficiency in SW and Water/Sewer design within SEQ Councils.
  • Solid understanding of DA/OPW/CA/Post-Construction within SEQ.
  • Demonstrated experience in relevant project design, including Road & Drainage Design, Bulk Earthwork Design, Stormwater & Flood Analysis, Client liaison, and Project control.
  • Experience with flexible pavement design to Australian standards is desirable.

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

  • Sound knowledge of Australian Standard design codes, design techniques, and construction procedures.
  • Ability to learn new and innovative design techniques.
  • Experience with software like Autocad, DRAINs software, MUSIC, and Microsoft Office.
  • Civil 3D and/or 12D design software proficiency is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration with engineers, architects, and design managers.
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to facilitating client needs.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities, with capacity to supervise teams and distribute workload effectively.
  • Initiative and team player attitude.
