
Senior Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing of wages and salaries.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and process payroll in accordance with approved timesheets and employment conditions, including preparation of various payroll deductions and superannuation requirements.
- Complete month and year-end payroll journals, reconcile payroll to the General Ledger, and prepare various payroll returns and statistics.
- Administer Workers Compensation case documentation and payments, communicating with employees and their managers to ensure all relevant documentation is completed.
- Provide regular reporting to HR Management on payroll metrics and other ad-hoc reports as required.
- Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an administrative or finance environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and written skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A team player with great organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
