Role Overview

The Lead Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the external reporting team, ensuring the production of precise financial statements that adhere to legal standards. This position involves articulating financial matters to regulatory bodies and assisting with monthly management reporting. Furthermore, the role encompasses the supervision of budgeting and forecasting initiatives, playing a vital part in fulfilling regulatory financial obligations.

  • Strategic Financial Reporting: Direct and refine the strategic framework for comprehensive financial reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and compliance with regulatory mandates.
  • Financial Data Analysis: Execute in-depth analyses of financial data, delivering actionable insights into market dynamics, performance metrics, and key financial indicators.
  • Process Improvement: Regularly assess and enhance reporting procedures to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
  • Engagement with Stakeholders: Collaborate across various departments including finance, investment, and senior management to synchronize reporting goals and effectively communicate financial insights.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Implement stringent quality control measures to uphold the accuracy and integrity of financial reports, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
  • Financial Governance: Establish robust financial governance frameworks to mitigate risks and uphold the highest standards of financial reporting integrity.
  • Team Leadership: Inspire, mentor, and guide a team of reporting professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.

Candidate Profile

  • Comprehensive knowledge of AASB and IFRS standards.
  • CA/CPA qualification is mandatory.
  • Experience with Workday and Oracle is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills are essential.
  • In-depth technical accounting expertise is required.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing reporting teams, driving strategic initiatives, and delivering high-quality financial reports.
