Financial Controller

About the Role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for providing financial leadership and guidance to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports to the management team.
  • Develop and implement cash flow forecasting and management accounts.
  • Oversee project reporting and ensure compliance with QBCC financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and lodge annual income tax returns for the group companies.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Liaise with financiers to obtain asset finance.
  • Report on financial liabilities and record interest on liabilities.
  • Update PPSR and prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, and other reporting to the ATO.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance or Accounting.
  • Private entity/company tax experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Procore.
  • Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exposure to managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll teams.
  • Ability to work in a close-knit team and a passion for the construction industry.
  • Confidence to make financial improvements for the business.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of self-motivation.
