Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Advisor, Strategy and Business Improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting the First Assistant Secretary, Corporate and Technology Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, influential advice to stakeholders on strategic priorities and business improvement initiatives.
  • Lead a small team to deliver business improvement initiatives and coordinate the division's involvement in ministerial and parliamentary matters.
  • Support the First Assistant Secretary in managing competing priorities, escalating emerging issues, and creating opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with the division to understand strategic links between the department's objectives and core business, translating priorities into operational goals and deliverables.

Eligibility
  • Australian citizenship is required, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.
  • Assessment through pre-employment screening checks, such as an Australian Criminal History Check, and subject to a six-month probation period if new to the APS or has not yet completed their probation period elsewhere in the APS.
