About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Advisor to join our team in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. As a key member of our Corporate and Technology Division, you will play a critical role in supporting the First Assistant Secretary and driving business improvement initiatives across the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, influential advice to stakeholders on strategic priorities and business development opportunities.
  • Lead a small team to deliver business improvement initiatives and drive process improvements across the department.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Anticipate and identify emerging risks and sensitivities, and demonstrate sound judgement in managing competing priorities.
  • Manage a small team responsible for coordinating and supporting the division's involvement in ministerial and parliamentary matters.
Requirements
  • Eligibility: Australian citizenship is required for this position, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
  • Security Clearance: Negative Vetting Level 1 (Secret) clearance is required for this role.
  • Experience: Proven experience in business development, strategic planning, and team leadership is essential.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
