Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef and Culinary Manager to join our team at Workforce Australia for Individuals. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Development: Create and implement menus that showcase our restaurant's unique Italian cuisine and appeal to our customers' tastes.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of our kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Supervision: Hire, train, and develop the skills of our kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the quality of our dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring that they meet our high standards.
  • Cost Control: Manage our kitchen budget, ensuring that we stay within our financial limits when ordering food and supplies.
  • Health and Safety: Implement and maintain a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and order stock, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our menu requirements.
  • Customer Service: Liaise with our front-of-house team to ensure that our customers receive excellent service and that any issues are resolved promptly.
Requirements:
  • Experience: At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Credentials: Excellent knowledge of traditional Italian cuisine and a strong understanding of kitchen management principles.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
