The Role

We are seeking an experienced R&D Portfolio Lead to join our team, reporting directly to the Chief R&D and Quality Officer. As a key member of our innovation team, you will play a pivotal role in driving our innovation program, enabling and enhancing our capabilities in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovation governance procedures, processes, and tools.
  • Develop and execute operating models to increase globalization of innovation projects, focusing on Asia Pacific and China market requirements.
  • Lead specific technical innovation projects from idea to commercialization, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with strategic suppliers and organizations to drive co-development projects and ideation.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure innovation success and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sku rationalization and profitability.
  • Support organizational capability development in project and portfolio management through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing.

You will possess exceptional communication and people influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, refined messages and visuals. A positive and collaborative working relationship with teams across the business is essential, as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in innovation governance, portfolio management, and project delivery.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and geographies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and drive business insights.
  • Experience with process excellence and Lean Six Sigma methodologies is highly regarded.
