A challenging opportunity has arisen for a skilled Contracts Administrator to join the Gamuda Australia Laing O'Rourke Consortium in Sydney.

The successful candidate will be responsible for pre and post-contract administration of subcontractor and supplier contracts, including contract administration, procurement, and handling of head contracts and sub-contracts matters.

This role requires strong analytical skills, ability to advise on contractual, cost, and commercial matters, as well as good communication and negotiation capabilities.

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent is required. Relevant experience in contract administration and procurement in the Australian construction industry is essential.

The consortium offers a competitive salary estimated to be around $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as industry recognised learning and development programs, family friendly work practices, and a culture that supports ongoing growth and development.

About the Role

  • Establish and maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships and proactively identify any contract risks to minimise or eliminate variation claims.
  • Assess and administer subcontractor claims, invoices, and variation claims.
  • Provide ongoing administration and refining of contract administration systems, registers, and procedures.
  • Liaise with the Project Manager to ensure internal cost controls are being maintained.
  • Participate in submission of monthly consolidated reporting in areas of cash flow forecasting, variation status, contractual matters, and cost analysis.

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
  • Contract administration and procurement experience in Australian construction industry.
  • Ability to advise on contractual, cost, and commercial matters.
  • Good communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
