The Role

We're seeking a talented Community Promotions Specialist to support our Promotions Manager in creating and activating promotional campaigns and helping us achieve our programming, sales, and marketing objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing on-air, digital, and street-level promotions to engage our audience
  • Ensuring all campaigns are delivered accurately, on brand, on time, and within budget
  • Sourcing prizes and coordinating their fulfillment, including winner communication
  • Collaborating with our graphics, production, and creative teams to develop relevant campaign elements
  • Maintaining a detailed promotional calendar
  • Regularly meeting with the team to discuss opportunities, ideas, and upcoming campaign logistics
  • Assisting with writing and valuing proactive proposals
  • Coordinating partnerships with community organizers and charities
  • Creating engaging copy for on-air features and website content
  • Supporting social media efforts to drive audience participation and keep listeners informed
  • Maintaining our station website and content
  • Handling incoming inquiries in person, by phone, email, and social media
  • Attending and assisting at station events
  • Working closely with our Events Coordinator to ensure departmental requirements are met
About You

To be successful, you'll have:

  • Experience in promotions, marketing, or events in a professional setting
  • Strong project management skills with high organizational ability and excellent time management
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Content Management Systems, and social media platforms (particularly Meta)
  • Creative flair and industry passion
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Media, Communications, or similar (desired but not essential)

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 - $65,000 AUD per annum, depending on experience.
