Comprehensive Building Inspector

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Comprehensive Building Inspector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough residential inspections to verify compliance with state and local building codes, ensuring safety and quality of the property.

  • Perform detailed field inspections for compliance with state and local building codes.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records, inspection results, test results, and any other documentation pertaining to municipal required inspections.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, stakeholders, and construction professionals regarding inspection findings, construction best practices, codes, standards, and local ordinances.
  • Foster and develop strong professional relationships with Construction Managers, tradespeople, municipal building department staff, and personnel.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with other service lines, including Quality Assurance Inspections, compaction testing, and more.

Requirements:

Education, Experience, and Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Florida Standard Residential Inspector (BN License) or FL Commercial equivalent.
  • Valid Florida Driver License
  • Reliable transportation
  • Minimum 2 years experience related to field code compliance inspections.
  • Customer service-oriented individual with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections per day.
  • Comfortable using technology, including computers, tablets, and smartphones.
