Nurse Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Oncology/Haematology team at Mater Private Hospital Springfield.
This is a permanent part-time position, working 24 hours per week (0.6FTE), where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of a supportive multidisciplinary team environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes throughout their disease trajectory.
- Achieving quality patient care through chemotherapy and targeted therapy administration, central venous line management, and managing patients undergoing stem cell transplantation.
- Demonstrating expertise in clinical practice, maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth.
- Implementing strategies to integrate quality and risk management into service provision.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, enthusiastic, and able to show initiative. You will be approachable with a mature and confident attitude, having the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an Oncology/Haematology outpatient setting and ADAC competency in chemotherapy administration.
- Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
Whilst not essential, applicants who currently hold or are studying towards a tertiary qualification within this clinical specialty would be highly regarded.
