Nurse Next Door is looking for passionate and highly dedicated nurses who are wanting to work in the community, any day of the week including weekends, where shifts may be required in the morning, afternoon, evening or overnight.

Key Responsibilities:

Depending on the specific needs of your clients, you will be required to apply your knowledge, clinical judgement and/ or practical experience in a variety of areas including for example:

  • Diabetes Management (inc. insulin administration)
  • Wound Care and Management
  • Bowel Care and/ or Continence Management
  • Medication Management
  • Care Plan Management

Skills/ Knowledge and/ or Experience:

  • Min Diploma of Nursing or equivalent qualification + AHPRA registration;
  • Practical experience in ANY of the following areas: Diabetic care (incl. insulin administration) medication administration, PEG feeding/ tube management, wound care, continence management, diabetes, bowel care, cannulation, catheter management, MND, MS, Quadriplegic and/or Paraplegic Care, Mental Health (e.g. depression, anxiety), Autism/ ASD, Intellectual Disability, Dementia care and/ or stroke;
  • Manual handling (e.g. mobilizing & positioning, hoists - ceiling and mobile, commodes/ wheel chair transfers).

Other Job Specific Expectations:

  • You live on the northside and/ or in the Moreton Bay area;
  • Must be able speak and write in English. Secondary language skills will be regarded an asset;
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to management when needed;
  • Comfortable with and confident using technology and apps on smart phone devices;
  • Able to travel from client to client in a timely fashion. NB: You must have a full, unrestricted drivers license and your own vehicle (and and reliable).

Bridgman Downs, Albany Creek, Wilston, Alderley, Grange, Newmarket, Enoggera, Gaythorne, Stafford Heights, Everton Hills, Everton Park, Brookside, Stafford, McDowall, Mitchelton, Arana Hills, Keperra, Ferny Hills, Ferny Grove, Upper Kedron, Bunya, Kelvin Grove, Red Hill, Ashgrove, and The Gap);
  • Moreton Bay suburbs(incl. Redcliffe, Scarborough, Kippa-Ring, Rothwell, Bald Hills, Eaton Hill, Bray Park, Brendale, Cashmere, Clear Mountain, Joyner, Strathpine, Warner, Lawnton, Petrie, Dakabin, Griffin, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Narangba, Burpengary, Burpengary East, Deception Bay, Mango Hill, and North Lakes)

Pay: $35.51 – $80.66 per hour
