Database Administrator Job Opportunity

  • We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and support of AWS Aurora/RDS instances running PostgreSQL and other database engines.
  • Key responsibilities include recommending best practices and approaches for administration of AWS RDS/Aurora, monitoring and optimizing the performance of database instances, resolving database incidents and requests, and creating and maintaining documentation.

  • Must have experience in database administration in a corporate environment, with strong technical skills and experience supporting PostgreSQL in AWS Aurora/RDS.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure is essential, as well as practical experience of migration from on-premises databases to AWS Aurora/RDS.
">Desirable Skills">
  • Financial services industry experience or knowledge would be beneficial, as would practical experience supporting SQL Server, Oracle Database, or MySQL, either on-premises or in AWS.
  • Experience with other AWS services such as DMS, Athena, CloudWatch, and Lambda functions is also desirable.
