About the Role

Melbourne & Olympic Parks is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Lead to play a key role in developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives across our Capital Works and Infrastructure projects.

As the Senior Procurement Lead, you will lead the creation of category strategies, manage major tenders, and oversee the execution of State Purchase Contracts and precinct-wide agreements.

This high-impact role will see you working closely with business leaders to align procurement activities with organisational objectives, deliver value for money, and minimise procurement risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-impact procurement strategies that drive long-term value for Melbourne & Olympic Parks
  • Lead the development of category strategies for 'Focused' and 'Leveraged' spend areas
  • Drive major procurement activities, including tendering processes and contract negotiations
  • Manage the reporting of Melbourne & Olympic Parks' Procurement Plan to track progress and optimize performance

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on capital works, construction, or infrastructure
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, including the AS Suite of construction contracts
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and driving cross-functional collaboration
  • Expertise in procurement compliance, risk management, and leveraging data to inform decision-making
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, construction, infrastructure services, project management, or related field
