About the Role:

Bidfood Australia Limited is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable team player to join our Customer Service/Telesales team at our foodservice branch. Reporting to the Administration Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering a high level of service to external customers, in addition to performing administrative tasks, reports, and quality assurance tasks and audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner, providing accurate and helpful information to ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Liaison with Internal Teams: Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure accuracy of supplier invoices, orders, and resolve issues as requested.
  3. Counter Sales: Conduct counter sales efficiently, focusing on excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth customer experience.
  4. Order Processing: Facilitate the processing of sales enquiries and customer orders, providing timely and accurate information as required.
  5. Administrative Tasks: Perform general administrative tasks with an emphasis on accuracy, as required.
  6. Quality Assurance: Conduct internal audits of the Quality and HACCP based food system to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Requirements and Skills:
  1. Computer Literacy: Intermediate to proficient computer skills, including the ability to quickly learn internal systems.
  2. Software Proficiency: Sound knowledge of MS Office and strong typing and data entry skills.
  3. Communication Skills: Confident phone manner and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.
  4. Customer Service Skills: Superior customer service skills, with the ability to action customer queries appropriately and in a timely manner.
  5. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  6. Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously, with a focus on delivering results and achieving goals.

Sales experience and an understanding of the foodservice industry or an allied industry would be an advantage.
