Waverley Christian College is a forward-thinking, culturally diverse institution that fosters a culture of inclusion, celebrating diversity.
The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department provides learning enrichment and support for various students throughout the College.
The team consists of experts who provide individualised programs to address students' social and academic challenges within the mainstream classroom.
We seek a part-time Special Education Program Coordinator to manage and coordinate the Support Program of Applied Readiness for Community (SPARC) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) programs.
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a current registration as a qualified teacher
- Have an alternatively suitable background with significant experience in disability and schools, demonstrating strong coordination capability
- Hold current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or be willing to obtain these prior to commencement
- Show a passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Implement strategies and supports to help students succeed and feel included
- Collaborate with teachers, students, external providers, and other learning support staff
- Demonstrate commitment to the values and ethos of our educational institution
