Special Education Program Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Special Education Program Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with disabilities.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the organisation, oversight, coordination, and management of the SPARC and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC) programs. They will work closely with teachers, students, external providers, and other learning support staff to implement strategies and supports to help students succeed and feel included.
This is a part-time role, requiring the successful applicant to have high level communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
Key Responsibilities
- Organise, oversee, coordinate, and manage the SPARC and VPC programs
- Work closely with teachers, students, external providers, and other learning support staff
- Implement strategies and supports to help students succeed and feel included
- Show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A qualified teacher or alternatively suitable background with significant experience in disability, schools with strong coordination capability
- Current First Aid qualifications and Anaphylaxis Certificate or willingness to obtain these prior to commencement
- Passion for supporting students with disabilities
- Ability to implement strategies and supports to help students succeed and feel included
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
