We are seeking motivated and experienced Healthcare Interpreters to join our Transcultural and Language Service (TALS) team.

We provide services across five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. Mental health services are also available at several locations.

About the Role :

This casual position offers opportunities to interpret on-site, via telephone, and video across Northern Health. Responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering interpreting services as required.
  2. Coordinating daily activities and collaborating with stakeholders.
  3. Supporting bookings and supervising students.
  4. Participating in professional development.
  5. Assisting in delivering TALS education.
Qualifications :
  • NAATI Certification
  • NAATI Translation certification (desirable)
  • Experience in health sector interpreting
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Willingness to participate in service delivery activities and quality improvement
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
