Regional Capability Development Specialist

We are seeking a Regional Capability Development Specialist to join our Melbourne workshop in Laverton.

In this role, you will make an impact by developing the skills of less experienced technicians and apprentices to independently undertake troubleshooting, repairs and rebuilds on Cummins Products.

You will be responsible for delivering Diesel Engine Fundamentals and Basic Diagnostic training to all apprentices in the region.

Apart from this, you will participate in monthly meetings to provide updates on progress against Heavy Vehicle Mechanical milestone training plan for the apprentices in your branch/region.

You will also provide stakeholder updates and regularly communicate your training program delivery schedule with Supervisors, Workshop Manager and Service Manager.

Maintaining a focus on apprentice safety is crucial for this role. You will participate in extended pre-start meetings to ensure their understanding of workplace hazards and risk.

You will also participate in the annual Apprentice Onboarding Program.

This role requires advanced level knowledge of and experience with Heavy Duty Engine products. You should have previous experience providing technical advice and coaching to apprentices/technicians.

Possessing or being willing to work towards achievement of Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is preferred. A minimum of 4 years post trade apprenticeship completion is also desired.

Candidates must be based in Melbourne, and willing to travel across the region as required.
