As a key member of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network, we are seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at the Repat Health Precinct. This is a unique opportunity to lead and manage a team of nurses and midwives, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
About the Role
This is a part-time, contracted role working 32 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing and midwifery services in a variety of health service settings, developing from competent to proficient practitioners. They will also be accountable for their own practice standards, activities delegated to others, and the guidance and development of less experienced staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote continuity and consistency of care in collaboration with other AN/MUM and the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent;
- Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in the implementation of practice changes;
- Assist the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager or equivalent in undertaking ward/unit/service management responsibilities, eg. Performance management processes, recruitment, staffing, leave management, rostering, work allocation and attendance management; financial and supplies planning and monitoring.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
