Freight Forwarding Specialist
Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled Freight Forwarding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for securing competitive rates from ocean carriers and supporting sales teams in pricing freight forwarding services.
Key Responsibilities:- Negotiate with ocean carriers to secure optimal pricing agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and vendors to expand our network and improve procurement strategies.
- Monitor carrier performance to ensure compliance with established minimum quantity commitments (MQCs) and agreed terms.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also support the implementation of our ocean procurement strategy, manage tenders and RFQs, and provide valuable market insights to enhance sales performance and win rates.
Requirements:- A minimum of 5-15 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics with a proven track record of carrier relationships and negotiation skills.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in ocean freight rate procurement, carrier negotiation, or related roles in freight forwarding.
- Thorough knowledge of ocean freight products, procurement strategies, and carrier dynamics.
