Job Description:

The OSHC Assistant Director role is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for leading and supporting a team in delivering high-quality Out of Hours School Care and education. This individual will work closely with the Director to create an environment where learning and growth are always at the forefront, ensuring that both children and educators stay up to date with the latest ideas, best practices, and parent community requirements.

Key responsibilities include designing and coordinating experiences that align with the My Time, Our Place Framework and meet or exceed the National Quality Standard (NQS). The successful candidate will also ensure all aspects of the service meet ACECQA and Education Standards Board (ESB) requirements while maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free environment.

Additionally, this role involves fostering positive relationships with children, families, and team members, promoting a child protection protocols and adhering to confidentiality standards.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a relevant qualification, such as a Diploma, Cert III or IV in Youth Work, Social Work, Allied Health, Health, Sport and Recreation, Creative Arts, Psychology, Behavioural & Social Sciences; Disability, Community Services; and Leisure and Health - or completed two years of a four year Teaching degree.

A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), Current RRHAN-EC Fundamentals & Masterclass Certificate, and First Aid Certificate are also required. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, confidence in building positive relationships with children, commitment to Christian education and inclusive practices, ability to work collaboratively within a team, high standards for child wellbeing and development, and understanding of equal opportunity and workplace safety principles are essential qualities for success in this role.
