Senior Payroll Strategist

Our company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Strategist to play a key role in our expanding hospitality group.

This position involves hands-on, high-impact responsibilities where your expertise will directly support business growth and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end processing of monthly payroll (and oversee weekly/fortnightly cycles)
  • Oversee superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover, and compliance reporting
  • Prepare payroll reports and provide insights to senior management
  • Support payroll integration for new acquisitions
  • Evaluate and maintain compliance with hospitality awards (e.g. HIGA) and enterprise agreements

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' payroll experience with strong working knowledge of Australian legislation, IR/HR frameworks, and awards
  • Proficiency with Excel and payroll systems
  • Previous experience in hospitality or a fast-paced, blue-collar multi-site environment highly regarded
  • Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
