Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our terminal operations in Australia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operational storage and dispatch capacity, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and managing risk and quality within a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fertiliser industry, with experience in developing and managing 3PL relationships. They will also have a proven record of managing profit and loss, as well as demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking skills.

  • Lead the development of internal and external teams to drive operational excellence
  • Align operations with organisational vision and strategy
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Manage risk and quality within a strong safety culture
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Critical thinking to solve complex operational challenges
  • Strong accountability and delegation skills
  • Economic understanding to drive cost-effective decisions
  • Building and nurturing effective relationships

You will also need:

  • Engineering principles relevant to bulk handling and storage
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory matters in operations
  • Subject matter expertise in fertiliser or bulk logistics industries
