Plant Operations Supervisor

Our ideal candidate will oversee the safe, reliable and efficient operation of a major hazard facility and its associated equipment.

  • Accountability for site compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality standards is essential.
  • Responsibilities include coordinating all work on the site to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and site objectives.
  • Controlling site costs, planning and supervising site maintenance activities are also crucial tasks.
  • Reporting on site compliance and production data is another key responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will support all activities required to ensure the reliability and improvement of the plant.
  • Monitoring, alerting and assisting the remote operations centre (ROC) in plant operations, including plant shutdown and restart, is also an important duty.
Requirements
  • A trade or degree qualification in a related field (mechanical, electrical, chemical or instrumentation) is required.
  • Previous experience in continuous process plant operations is necessary.
  • A strong work ethic and commitment to collaborative teamwork are essential.
  • Prior knowledge of process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control systems will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement projects by executing time management and project management skills while actively troubleshooting plant processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required to lead the implementation of safety and operational initiatives effectively.
  • Capable of utilizing company business and safety systems.
  • Preferably based in Condamine, Miles or Chinchilla or willing to relocate.
