The FWS Program Overview

Our organization provides a coordinated and culturally safe support system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families experiencing vulnerability. This comprehensive mix of services is tailored to family and community needs, aiming to build family capacity, strengthen community connections, and safeguard the wellbeing of children.

We empower families through holistic case management and collaboration with multiple service providers. This empowers them to navigate challenges, develop essential life skills, and access therapeutic support.

Furthermore, our program engages with families involved in the child protection system, working to address safety concerns, facilitate reunification, and support positive outcomes for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet individual case performance targets as per weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboard systems.
  • Practice high-quality intent-based practice in all interactions with clients, consistent with our organization's values and vision.
  • Provide high-quality case management practices and record keeping that adhere to operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate positive and warm engagement through an assertive outreach approach that engages clients into the service.
  • Facilitate client-led assessments and Care Plans to identify clients' goals, including entire families when appropriate.
  • Offer role-specific targeted interventions and family facilitated group meetings to achieve client goals.
  • Commit to high-quality management through use of quality management systems and task completion.
  • Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, supporting internal and external relationships, cooperation, trust, and respect, valuing diversity and differences, guiding, mentoring, and focusing on staff development.
