About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst with proven skills in business intelligence, proficient in T-SQL, Power BI, and DAX. This is a full-time contract opportunity for approximately 12+ months with guaranteed flexibility between office and home based in our Melbourne CBD office.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing reports to provide actionable insight; gathering relevant business requirements and translating them into technical specifications; building automated reports and dashboards.
- Data extraction and transformation from data sources/lakehouse sources; cleansing and preparing data for analysis; ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Working closely with business users, data engineers, and other teams to understand data requirements; prioritising requests and providing regular progress updates; proactively gathering feedback and regularly iterating on report designs.
- Analysing data (client, financial, and others) to provide insights for various functional areas across the business.
- Training end-users on how to effectively use Power BI dashboards and reports; providing documentation and support to ensure successful adoption.
- Maintaining data governance and security including setting up a data catalogue and access/usage monitoring.
