HeliMods is a dynamic aerospace technology company based on Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast. Our cutting-edge facility showcases vertically integrated soft and hard infrastructure in support of our advanced aerospace capability.

We create tangible, lasting contributions to local and global communities by providing innovative aerospace products for critical missions like emergency medical retrieval, search and rescue, aerial policing, and disaster relief.

As outlined in our Strategic Plan, HeliMods is expanding nationally and globally. We're seeking new team members to work in our fast-paced environment and support our growth plans.

This opportunity supports local High School students pursuing careers in aerospace, aviation, design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

You'll get hands-on experience designing an item in CAD and printing it on our 3D printers with the support of our world-class engineering team.

Additionally, you'll explore our advanced manufacturing capabilities, gaining a better understanding of workforce options and high school electives before tertiary education.

Successful applicants are those who are inquisitive, self-driven, and eager to learn as much as possible during their time with us.

We value good listening skills, a healthy curiosity, a positive attitude, and a willingness to apply oneself and take initiative with assigned activities.

To ensure a fulfilling experience, we ask students to be respectful of our team's busy schedules and to have a limited number of applications submitted at any given time.

Please note the following requirements:

  • Be in year 10 or above
  • Have a strong passion for aviation, aerospace, design, engineering, and/or manufacturing
  • Obtain permission and necessary paperwork from your school
  • Submit a CV as part of your application

Once accepted, please be aware of the following details:

  • Our usual work experience hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm
  • Students must wear long pants, enclosed shoes, and an appropriate shirt (collared for male students)
  • Students should bring their own lunch
