Job Opportunity:

A prominent role exists for a Sterilization Services Professional to join our team at a well-established healthcare facility in Bruce, ACT.

This permanent full-time position offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in infection control and patient care.

About the Job

As a CSSD Technician, you will be responsible for processing instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and guidelines across the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) and Endoscopy departments.

Your key duties will include cleaning, assembling, inspecting, wrapping, and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment. Additionally, you will be required to undertake testing of equipment as needed and promptly escalate any identified anomalies to the relevant authorities.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless operations and adhere to established protocols, including those outlined in GESA & GENCA, HICMR, and AS5369:2023.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or a willingness to attain it.
  • Effective communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in CSSD and/or Endoscopy services.
  • An understanding of current Australian Standard AS5369:2023.
